Description
Approximately 3.5 hours to complete all the lessons within this curriculum.
This PUA curriculum assists states in understanding the program's operating, financial, and reporting instructions during the Pandemic Assistance Period of February 2, 2020 to September 6, 2021. Currently, there are five lessons available.
The Program Updates (Lesson 5) explains the changes to the PUA program, as amended by the Continued Assistance to Unemployed Workers Act of 2020, for those lesson-takers who have already completed lessons 1-4. The changes by the Continued Assistance Act have also been incorporated into lessons 1-4.
In general, PUA provides up to 79 weeks of benefits (minus any claimed weeks of regular UC or extended benefits) to qualifying individuals who are otherwise able to work and available for work within the meaning of applicable state UC law, except that they are unemployed, partially unemployed, or unable or unavailable to work due to one of the COVID-19 related reasons identified in Section 2102(a)(3)(A)(ii)(I) of the CARES Act. Covered individuals also include self-employed and those lacking sufficient work history.
If an individual has an active UI claim with a definite or indefinite disqualification or has subsequently been disqualified, the state may consider the individual for PUA eligibility.
This curriculum is currently "in grading" to allow for other lessons to be added. Percentage of progress completion will not show 100% if all active lessons have been completed.
